Our door stripping service doesn’t just stop at doors. We can strip garden furniture, pine furnishings, fireplaces, cast iron benches and fire surrounds. Of course, if you want your doors stripped, we can do that too, in fact it is the mainstay of our door stripping.
WHAT PROCESS DO YOU USE?
If you need your doors stripped, simply call us and we can give you a quotation. Our process has been developed over years of experience in the business and we believe we have perfected a system that beats the rest! We use a lukewarm tank stripping system that is extremely effective and produces excellent results. The system involves dipping the item to be stripped, for example, a pine door, in a solution that removes surface coatings and leaves your doors or furniture in their original condition, ready for a brand new finish of your choice.
WHAT CAN WE NOT STRIP?
We can perform our lukewarm tank stripping process on most wooden doors and furnishings. Pine, especially, strips very well using our technique. There are, however, certain items that we cannot strip due to the paint that has been applied. If a door or furniture item has previously been coated in a water based paint or a polyurethane varnish, this cannot be removed using our lukewarm tank stripping technique. Luckily, it is very rare to find doors or furniture that have been painted using either of these as older doors have been painted in oil based paints.

We offer specialist paint and varnish stripping services to help restore your wooden doors and furniture to their original condition in London.
Our paint stripping service can be used for bringing new life in to tired old doors, leaving them ready for sanding and varnishing. Paint stripping can be performed on doors and furniture such as tables, chairs, wooden lamps, and more.
If you have doors that have been heavily painted over the years, our chemical paint stripping service will strip the paint off in preparation for sanding and applying a fresh coat of paint, varnishing or wax polishing. We also offer the option of neutralising your item once it has been stripped. Since caustic soda, or Sodium Hydroxide, is alkaline in nature, we recommend that it is neutralised to render your item to a neutral pH level.
SANDING AND WAXING SERVICE
After neutralising, we recommend a sanding and waxing service that will fully restore and protect the item. We can provide a wide range of finishes, so please contact us to discuss the options. Please note that all door handles and coat hooks must be removed before collection.
